The past 4 months have gone fast and I am sure the last 6 months will go quickly as well. Some students will be working on math over the holiday. Just a reminder that they should be at least 90 math objectives by March. The students can read over the break as well.
I hope you all have safe and blessed holiday.
See you in January.

SCS Grade 5-6 Poinsettia Fundraiser
Our November fundraiser for our trip
to Kinasao will be selling 6.5” poinsettias for Christmas (provided by Floral
Acres)! Poinsettias are a great holiday flower that many people buy to decorate
their home/office/church for Christmas…so why not buy from us? J
We will be selling poinsettias all
through November. Order forms and money will be due on Monday, November 24th, and the
flowers will be delivered to our school on Wednesday, December 3rd. Families are
responsible to pick up any flowers they sell and deliver them to whomever they
belong to.
Please write down all information
neatly and completely for your own records. Sell as many poinsettias as you
can! Sell to your parents, your grandparents, your aunts and uncles, your
neighbors, your church, a business office nearby, anyone!! Poinsettias are
$17.00 each ($6 profit/poinsettia for us). You can collect money for the
poinsettias you sell, and then write one cheque made out to SCS (or use cash)
for the total amount and send it in with the class order form on the
bottom of the page sent home.
**Another
idea…put this announcement in your church bulletin!**
Are you
interested in supporting children attending camp AND decorating the church for
Christmas? Saskatoon Christian School’s grade 5 and 6 classes are selling
poinsettias to raise money for their trip to Camp Kinasao. 6.5”
poinsettias come in all colors and are being sold for $17/each. Contact (insert
student’s name here) to order these beautiful Christmas flowers!

Filter of Email Messages
For those who have been trying to contact me through email, I finally got to my filter to see all the emails I had missed. The SPSD mail system filters email and I usually get notifications that I have messages filtered, but have not received any notifications.
Anyway, it should be ok to email me know, as I will check it each day. Sorry for this.

Happy New Year!
Welcome to the new school year. Things will ramp up and become busier than things were during the summer.
This is my seventh year at SCS and my 19th year of teaching in the Saskatoon Public School Division. It is an honour and joy to teach your child(ren) this year. It is also an even greater privilege to guide your children into God's truth (John 16:13)
We will be having the Meet the Teacher night on September 25th. There will be an orientation for you that night. I hope to see you all there.
Please check the blog regularly as it is usually updated each week. There are also important links that are on the blog that you should be bookmarking. http://gr6201415.blogspot.ca/
Sometimes we are in need of volunteers to come on field trips, we would be happy to have you help out.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me through email. baetza@spsd.sk.ca.
Let's have a great year together.
