Monday - Thursday This Week

I will be away for the next 4 days of school.   Things should be going a usual  next week and there will be an Easter Chapel on Thursday.

Students should note of the latest book report posted.  The students should be continuing to keep focused on completing their math objectives and attain reading goals over the break.

I. Include: Title Page, Published Date, Publishing Company, Author, Number of Pages, Chapters.
II. Who are the main Characters in the book?

III. Vocabulary – Find 5 words in the book that you do not know and list them and write the definition.

IV. Give a summary what the story is about. 100-200 words

V. What was your favorite scene in the book?

VI. What are some of the values that are evident in the book? (ie. respect, loyalty, courage, etc.)

VII. Would you recommend this book to someone else? Why or why not?

VIII. Complete the Accelerated Reader quiz.

Famous Canadian Social Studies Assignment - Due March 31


Social Studies Assignment

Choose a Canadian that is famous.  This person can be famous for a number of reasons and you are to explain why this person is famous.  The person needs to be famous for contributing for the betterment of Canada and the World. 

1.        Write a 200-300 word paper on this Canadian.

2.       Explain why this person is famous.  Is it for political reasons, athletic reasons, artistic reasons etc. ?  What are some of things s/he has done?

3.       How has this person’s work improved things in Canada?
 
4.   Person can be alive currently and does not necessarily need to be born in Canada (ie. Sir John A. MacDonald was born in Scotland.)  Where is this person from?

5.       Include a picture.

6.       Include a bibliography.
